    The racing team had a strong start to the spring racing season this March:

    On March 4th, Jared Bugaj came in 2nd place overall at the Little Rock Half Marathon with a time of 1:10:22. On the same day, Josh Vitoux placed 7th overall in the Run for Share 5k (20:05); Sadie Smith was the female master’s winner at the Woodlands Half Marathon with a new PR of 1:22:34; and Jen Bertucci was the female winner of the Holy Infant Shamrock Shuffle (18:43).

    Matt and Sarah Kruger represented well for Saint Louis at the Tokyo Marathon. Matt ran a new marathon PR of 2:24:21, and Sarah ran her 2nd fastest marathon in 2:52:14. Also on March 5th, John Petter was the master’s winner of the Top of the Morning 5k with a time of 18:32. Later in the month, Sadie Smith came in 2nd female at the Tobacco Road Marathon (2:57:52).

    The team had lots of members participate in both the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Run and the Chain of Rocks 6k. The Big River Racing Team also took home the 2nd place team award at Chain of Rocks.

    Big River Racing is about running in its purest form. We encompass racing and pushing one’s limits, accepting anyone who shares our passion for running. The team is a dedicated group of like-minded individuals who train, race and socialize with the goal of improving the St. Louis running community through advocacy, openness and volunteerism. The team exists to support runners from post-collegiate athletes to those relatively new to the sport and anyone in between.
