    Entering May On Fire

    The Big River Racing Team started off the month of May with some hot performances.

    On Saturday, 5/1, Sadie Smith (3:07:43) took the overall victory at the IronHorse Marathon in Iowa.

    On Sunday, 5/2, the team had a strong showing at the Gateway Resilience Run 5 Mile. Jon Petter (32:04) placed 5th Overall and won his Age Group. Sadie Smith (33:15) placed 6th Overall and 2nd Female. John Kertz (37:10) and Bill Thompson (37:19) battled it out in the M50-59 Age Group with John placing 2nd and Bill taking 3rd. Michelle Dillon (39:53) won her Age Group. And Denise Buehrer (50:50) placed 2nd in her Age Group.

    Congratulations on these strong performances!

    Big River Racing is about running in its purest form. We encompass racing and pushing one’s limits, accepting anyone who shares our passion for running. The team is a dedicated group of like-minded individuals who train, race and socialize with the goal of improving the St. Louis running community through advocacy, openness and volunteerism. The team exists to support runners from post-collegiate athletes to those relatively new to the sport and anyone in between.
