    St. Pat’s Success

    The Big River Racing Team had a lot of success at the St. Patrick’s Day races this weekend.

    On Saturday, Peter Johnsrud (15:38) won the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Run 5k. Jon Petter (18:48) finished 4th Overall, winning his Age Group. Bill Thompson (22:15) finished 15th Overall and 2nd in his Age Group. Future Racing Team members Connor (22:17) and Paige (25:06) Helbig won the Male and Female 0-14 Age Groups and set new PRs. Katie Helbig (22:23) finished 17th Overall and 3rd Female while pacing Connor.

    On Sunday, Sadie Smith (1:29:18) won the Creve Coeur St. Paddy’s Half Marathon, and Josh Vitoux (1:48:15) finished 18th Overall, winning his Age Group. Mike Flynn (4:08:04) finished 15th Overall and 2nd in his Age Group for the Marathon on Saturday.

    Also this weekend, Charles (1:45:45) and Taylor (1:58:05) Sutton ran the Paradise Coast Half Marathon. They both won their Age Groups, and Charles set a new PR.

    Congratulations to everyone on their accomplishments!

    Big River Racing

    Big River Racing is about running in its purest form. We encompass racing and pushing one’s limits, accepting anyone who shares our passion for running. The team is a dedicated group of like-minded individuals who train, race and socialize with the goal of improving the St. Louis running community through advocacy, openness and volunteerism. The team exists to support runners from post-collegiate athletes to those relatively new to the sport and anyone in between.
