The Big River Racing team braved the cold and kept racking up results in January:
On New Year’s Day, Preston Jordan (19:19) and Nick Vollmer (20:11) both placed 2nd in their Age Groups at the Snowball Series 5k.
On January 8th, at the Frostbite Series 5k, Stephen Kuehner (19:30) finished 2nd in his Age Group and Cassie Zehenny (21:49) finished 3rd in her Age Group. In the 20k distance, Maryam Tabatabaei (1:39:57) won her Age Group, and Michelle Dillon (1:40:34) won her Age Group.
On Sunday, January 9th, James Campbell (3:38:27) finished 5th Overall at the Shippey Endurance Runs 20 Mile Trail Race.
On January 15th, Kirby Simon (16:06) finished 2nd Overall at the Snowball Series 3 Mile.
Also on January 15th, Sadie Smith (3:05:58) won the Museum of Aviation Marathon.
On January 22nd, Jon Petter (25:40) and Cassie Zehenny (27:44) both finished 2nd in their Age Groups at the Frostbite Series 4 Mile. Michelle Dillon (1:45:17) won her Age Group in the Half Marathon.
On January 29th, some team members travelled to the F^3 Lake Half Marathon in Chicago, and Preston Jordan (1:27:59) ran a new PR.
On January 30th, Euan Makepeace (7:46.92) ran a new PR and a World Indoor Championships Qualifying Time in the 3000m at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic 3k.
